Week-Long
Half-Day Workshops
At the beginning of a workshop, each student chooses to write in the genre of his or her choice for the week (i.e. humor, realistic fiction, science fiction, fantasy, memoir, poetry, scripts, or journalism). Teens usually focus on completing one piece over the week; our younger writers sometimes write several stories. Summer writing workshops meet five days in a row for three-hour sessions. Workshops are peppered with fun, social, highly productive games.

Full-Day Camp
Writopia Lab Campers have the option of signing up for one to multiple week-long sessions. Each day includes a three-hour Writopia writing intensive, where 6 to 8 campers will work with a published author on their original pieces. Campers choose to focus on either fiction, memoir, poetry, scripts, or journalism during a workshop, and will leave the camp with a finished piece.
