Winter Retreat 2020
Over the extended Martin Luther King Jr. weekend, Writopia Lab's Winter Retreat offers three days and three nights of creativity and community in the comfort of New York YMCA Camp! Attendees will have their choice of three parallel paths in either Prose, Poetry, and Playwriting; Writing Your Activism; or SciFi/Fantasy and D&D. Prose, Poetry, and Playwriting
Writers will have 11 hours of workshopping over the long weekend. In addition, writers will have their choice of specialized electives including filmmaking, fiction, poetry, songwriting, poetry hikes, and literature seminars.
SciFi/Fantasy and D&D
Adventurers will have 11 hours of workshopping during the retreat, focusing on SciFi & Fantasy. In addition, they'll spend their elective periods playing an extended Dungeons & Dragons adventure run by Writopia Lab's experienced Dungeon Masters.
Writing your Activism
Activists will have 11 hours of workshopping with a civic engagement focus over the long weekend. In addition, writers will have their choice of specialized electives including filmmaking, poetry, journalism, poetry hikes, and literature seminars.
